Xper

Xper is a fourth-generation real-time imaging-guided robotic system designed to improve the precision of percutaneous surgeries. By combining advanced imaging, AI, and robotics, Xper enhances accuracy and reduces risks during minimally invasive procedures.

Interventional radiologists face challenges such as failed needle insertions and tissue displacement due to limited real-time guidance. Current navigation systems do not fully address the need for confidence in percutaneous interventions, limiting their broader application.

Xper provides real-time imaging and robotic guidance to help surgeons visualize and adjust needle movements, improving safety and precision. It builds on Readitec’s existing technologies and aims to revolutionize minimally invasive treatments like biopsies and tumor ablations.

MTM students will work on clinical needs assessments, regulatory strategies, and engineering development, gaining hands-on experience with cutting-edge medical AI, imaging, and robotics technologies.
